Q&A with Training and Development Manager Kaitlyn

What do you love about working at donorworx?

I love the people I work with! I truly believe that what makes a company great is the people who dedicate themselves to it. donorworx attracts the most incredible and inspiring people who I am so grateful to learn from and collaborate with. I also happen to love the fact that our company is run by two females!

How did you get involved with donorworx?

Kaitlyn Lloyd

Kaitlyn meeting a sponsor child in Nicaragua

When I applied to donorworx I was completing my Master’s Degree in Education and was looking for something flexible where I could make a difference. I started as a Fundraiser, over time I became a Campaign Leader, and about 2 ½ years ago I moved into an office position. Little did I know that I would become so fulfilled in this company that I would never even apply for a position that I went to 7 years of post-secondary school for!

Tell us about the addition of the Field Support Specialist (FSS) role to the Training Department?

Last summer we hired two incredible Campaign Leaders to take on the additional responsibility of interviews, training, and support. Sarah Sra is our FSS in the West and Jamie-Lynn Arsenault supports Canada East. The goal of this role is to provide additional support to our campaigns through coaching and development throughout the year and especially during our bustling Holiday Season.

What is new and exciting in the Training Department?

In the last few months our focus has been on coaching and development; how can we provide greater support and structure for new hires on their first few shifts.  We also plan on modifying and condensing our online training’s as well as providing incremental modular training. That is just the start of a very long and exciting list!
